So, I'm a little behind on this exciting update, but I'm so so SO THRILLED to announce that NICKEL MINES is going to New York Musical Festival (NYMF) this summer, and I am honored to be returning as the Costume Designer for its second incarnation!! (and making my Off Broadway design debut, no less!) (PERFORMANCE DATES: TBA)
This time around, on the creative team, we have Andrew Palermo (Allegiance, The Other Josh Cohen, Kristin Chenoweth at Carnegie Hall) returning as Director/Choreographer, in addition to having been the original conceiver of the show, and co-writer with Shannon Stoeke. Exciting new members to the design team are Tony Winning lighting designer Howell Binkley (Hamilton, Allegiance, Memphis, In the Heights among others) and 6 time Tony Nominee Nevin Steinberg (Hamilton, In the Heights, The Addam's Family Musical and Spamalot among many others) as the sound designer. We also have Or Matias orchestrating and arranging, and Ross Jackson will be returning to the team as the Production Stage Manager. http://www.nickelminesmusical.com - For all the latest updates! http://www.nymf.org/festival/tickets/ - To purchase tickets to Nickel Mines at NYMF and to any other NYMF productions this summer. #NickelMinesMusical On Saturday March 5th 2016, at 8:00 p.m. PST, University of California, Irvine's production of WOYZECK (and Sera's graduate costume design thesis) officially opened. A change in the university's 2013-2014 season was also announced. Sera will no longer be designing Chicago, but instead will design the world premiere of a thought-provoking new musical Nickel Mines.
